Silent Hill
A man in search of his missing daughter stumbles into a fog-covered town – a town that can tunnel into his psyche and dig up his trauma - and finds himself unable to escape. So begins Silent Hill, the first entry in a horror series about digging into minds that are at breaking point. Players can find some closure, if they play well – or drive their characters further into despair. This is psychological horror at its most intense and gripping, games that scare, but which also make you think hard and confront the darkness of being alive. Even P.T., the series’ final demo for an unreleased sequel, is a masterpiece.
